
Runway 14-32 Reconstruction

In January 2008, G&L will begin the reconstruction of Runway 14/32. Our scope of work includes demolition of the existing 12,000 feet of concrete and asphalt runway, earthwork, replacing storm and under-drain pipe, crushing of concrete removed and asphalt paving.
Demolition includes removal of 12 to 22 in. of runway concrete and 8 – 18 in. of existing asphalt runway. Our new CAT Asphalt Paver, with capability to pave up to 25 foot widths will lay down 8, 10 and 16 in. depths of new FAA P401 Hot Mix. The new runways will be installed to 1/8 in. horizontal and ¼ in. longitudinal tolerances and Profilograph surface smoothness.
Storm drains will consist of 48, 54 and 60 in. RCP plus catch basins.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2008.
