Kevin Jones | Manager, Asphalt Services
Primary FunctionAs General Manager of Asphalt Services, Mr. Jones’ is responsible for the day to day operation of everything that involves paving, milling, delivery and DOT related activities. This includes all facets of a project from inception through punch list. He also manages G&L’s interest in River Asphalt L.L.C. hot mix asphalt plant located in Dagsboro, DE.
Education
Mr. Jones holds two Associate Degrees from Delaware Technical and Community College including an AS in Civil Engineering and an AS in Architectural Design. He holds certifications in OSHA and MSHA training for most applications of our areas industry. He has attended NSSGA, ABC, NAPA, and NUCA training courses that relate to safety, value sales, and product advancements.
Professional Experience
Local Delmarva construction experience since 1982, including initial experience as road foreman, responsible for a wide variety of Concrete, Earth Excavation, Underground Utility, Hot Mix Paving, and Surveying. This was followed by a position as General Superintendent for an international material supplier/highway contractor. He has been involved in fixed and portable asphalt plants that include crushing, screening, hot mix asphalt, sand & gravel wash plants, barge load/offloading operations, and railway facilities. These experiences allowed him to hold positions as Estimator, Director of Hot Mix Sales, Vice President, and President.
