Airport Construction

George & Lynch, Inc. has a long history of airport construction, beginning with construction of the original runway during World War II at what is now Dover Air Force Base (DAFB). The company has continued to have a presence at DAFB, routinely winning multi-year pavement rehabilitation contracts. These projects involve miscellaneous demolition, hot-mix asphalt overlays, saw cutting, crack sealing, and replacement of concrete parking pads for the C-5 cargo planes. We most recently completed reconstruction of Taxiway B including total replacement of pavement and lighting.

Because our staff understands the impact on airfield operations due to runway and taxiway projects, other airports trust us as well. Our crews recently rebuilt the sole runway and taxiway at Delaware Airpark, in Cheswold, for the Delaware River and Bay Authority (DRBA). Summit Airport, near Middletown, is also a G&L customer. We have built alliances with quality lighting and pavement marking subcontractors to ensure customer satisfaction, while other critical activities are self-performed.

The following recent and current projects are examples of the wide variety of airport construction services provided by the experienced George & Lynch team. Simply click on any of the projects for more details.
